Green Wind Renewables sponsors Motherland event in Darkan

Green Wind Renewables was delighted to support the Motherland event in Darkan on Sunday 21st September 2025, celebrating the strength, resilience, and achievements of rural women.

Held at the Darkan Town Hall, the event brought together women from across the region as part of Rural Women’s Day, marking the first time Motherland has come to Western Australia.

The day featured Motherland Founder and CEO, Stephanie Trethewey, who hosted a panel with three inspiring local mums – Shenai Johnson, Louise O’Neill and Tracey Angwin. Together, they shared their personal stories and experiences of motherhood in rural and regional communities, highlighting both the challenges and the joys of raising families in rural environments.

The event provided a warm and supportive space for connection, storytelling, and celebration, giving attendees the chance to reflect on the vital role women play in the heart of rural Australia.

Green Wind Renewables values the opportunity to partner with initiatives like Motherland that empower and celebrate rural communities, and we congratulate everyone involved in making the Darkan event such a success.
