Green Wind Renewables are excited to share a major milestone in the development of the Ambrosia Wind Farm—the successful installation of a meteorological mast (met mast).
This critical piece of infrastructure will now be able to collect essential wind and weather data, helping to optimise energy production and ensure the efficient turbine placement in the future.
What does the met mast do?
Standing 150 meters tall, the met mast is equipped with advanced instruments to measure:
– Wind speed and direction
– Temperature
– Air pressure
These precise measurements will enable our team to accurately estimate the energy output at Ambrosia Wind Farm, determine the most suitable turbine model, and refine turbine placement for maximum efficiency.
The met mast will remain operational for the next 3–5 years, continuously gathering data to support the project’s success.
This installation marks a significant milestone in delivering the Ambrosia Wind Farm, bringing us one step closer to generating clean, renewable energy for the region.
